چکیده

Introduction: COVID-19 is associated with increased coagulability, resulting in thromboembolic complications, such as intestinal ischemia. Diagnosis of bowel infarction can be challenging due to the severity illness and laboratory changes infection itself. Case Series: In a retrospective monocentric study, we performed an in-depth analysis clinical course ischemia patients. Biochemical coagulation status predictors was performed. We identified five patients ischemia, between March 2020 January 2021. Mean time-to-onset from COVID-diagnosis 31 days (range 16–56). Intestinal confirmed by contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) scan. D-dimer, Fibrinogen, C-reactive protein (CRP), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) were elevated prior ischemic event, but no recurrent pattern could distinguished our case series. Lactate levels demonstrated marked increase at time No consistent findings made for prothrombin (PT) activated partial thromboplastin (aPTT) creatin kinase. Extent varied limited ileocecal region (two patients), additional small large patients) extensive entire tract (one patient). Four (80%) required ileostomy. Planned relook surgery three (60%). Three (60%) died. Conclusion: event patients, did not identify clear commonly used markers However, showed leading up rapid normalization after surgery. Unfortunately, patient numbers too draw definitive conclusions.
